For Dunn & Dill, 2005 was a year of incredible accomplishments. It was a year of growth and progress, of supporting both community and country, and of new beginnings. It was thought that when the staff of Dunn & Dill moved into the new office space, it would take roughly two years to fill it. By the close of 2005, all of the offices had been filled! Not only did Dunn & Dill grow in size, but in services too.
In December of 2005, Dunn & Dill started a new company, Student Funding Strategies, Inc. (SFS). The purpose of this company is to provide parents and students with the resources necessary to navigate the college funding process. SFS has begun holding informative seminars, free of charge, for parents to see if this service fits their needs. For more information on these seminars, please contact our office. Dunn & Dill is very excited to offer College Funding Planning as one of its services!
Perhaps Dunn & Dill' greatest accomplishment of 2005 was the involvement in supporting both community and country. Dunn & Dill has played a central part in the Garland Downtown Business Association, which has focused its efforts on revitalizing the Downtown area. However their attention widened when Hurricane Katrina struck, and left so many in need. The staff of Dunn & Dill decided not to be spectators in the relief efforts and took action, organizing a drop off place for supplies and money in just two days. They worked with the City of Garland, the Garland Independent School District, and local news media to spread the word. In one day they collected over $20,000 and filled three trucks worth of supplies. It was an amazing event that demonstrated the incredible generosity of people from all over Texas!
As a result of a renewed focus on the examination of the accounting operations of various businesses, Dunn & Dill's audit practice doubled in 2005! The goal is to double that number again in 2006!
While many changes have occurred during the last year, 2006 promises to be just as productive and exciting! Dunn & Dill is going to continue to work with the community, and become as involved as possible! With a staff of eight that is a mix of familiar and new faces, Dunn & Dill is prepared to provide the services that its clients have come to expect. The main focus for Dunn & Dill during 2006 will remain unchanged from prior years, to provide exceptional customer service!
